How to Start Your Own Private Label Herbal Tea Brand from India

Most people who want to launch a tea brand get stuck in the same place. They have a name, a logo idea and a rough taste in mind, but no clear road from there to a finished pack in a customer’s hands. This guide walks through that road the way we explain it to new clients in Ludhiana: in plain language, and in the order things actually happen.

Getting started

Decide What you want to sell.

Start with the customer, not the tea. Who is drinking it, and when? A calming chamomile and lavender blend for the evening is a very different product from a tulsi tea for daily use or a Kashmiri kahwa for gifting.

You have two ways in. You can start from a catalogue blend and put your label on it, which is the faster route. Or you can send us your own formulation, and we procure the ingredients, blend and pack it. Either way, you do not need a factory of your own.

Sample testing

Taste it before you commit

Never approve a tea you have not tasted. Our sample kit costs ₹299 including delivery in India, and it reaches you in 5 to 7 working days. Brew it the way your customer will. Try it hot, try it a bit stronger, and hand a cup to a few honest friends. If something is off, say so. Too floral, too bitter, not warm enough. Small tweaks to a blend are completely normal at this stage, and this is the cheapest time to make them.
